AFT Access is committed to providing a website that is accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of technology or ability.
Our commitment
We aim to design, develop, and maintain digital experiences with accessibility in mind. We test against WCAG 2.2 AA and we use this site as a working example of practices we recommend to clients.
Standards we follow
- WCAG 2.2 Level AA, with selected AAA practices (notably color contrast in High-contrast mode).
- Semantic HTML and ARIA used in line with WAI-ARIA Authoring Practices.
- Honoring user preferences such as
prefers-reduced-motionandprefers-color-scheme.
Built-in accessibility features
- Skip-to-main-content link on every page.
- Theme switcher: Auto, Light, Dark, and High contrast.
- Adjustable text size (A−, A, A+, A++) — preferences are remembered.
- Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements.
- Accessible carousel with pause, previous, next, and keyboard navigation.
- Accordion FAQ with proper
aria-expandedstates. - Forms with explicit labels, autocomplete hints, and accessible validation.
- 44×44 px minimum touch targets.
- Print stylesheet that hides chrome.
Ongoing efforts
We continue to review, improve, and test the website and our digital content to strengthen usability and accessibility. Known issues are tracked internally and prioritized.
